How It Works

Four steps. No surprises.

Same process, every job. Predictable, transparent, and easy.

Step 01

Free estimate

We walk your home (in person or by video) and send a written flat-rate quote within 24 hours.

Step 02

Schedule

Pick your date. We confirm crew size, truck, and arrival window. Most moves book 1-3 weeks out.

Step 03

Move day

Our crew arrives in uniform, with everything they need. We pack the truck strategically so unloading is fast.

Step 04

Settle in

We place every item in the room you want, reassemble what we disassembled, and only leave when you say so.

Transparent pricing

Flat-rate quotes, no hourly games.

Most residential moving companies bill hourly and “forget” to mention the travel fee, the fuel surcharge, or the extra hour they took on the lunch break. We don’t.

Alpine quotes residential moves at a flat rate based on the size of your home and the distance of your move. The number you see in your written estimate is the number you pay — period.

★★★★★

“Three bedrooms, two flights of stairs, a piano. Alpine showed up early, wrapped everything, and had us moved in by 4pm. They even fixed a wobbly leg on our dining table without asking. Worth every dollar.”

“Alpine moved our 5-bedroom from Centerra to Mariana Butte. Three trucks, 6 movers, done in one day. No damage, no drama. The crew foreman stayed on top of everything.”

★★★★★

“I’ve used three other moving companies in Fort Collins. Alpine was the only one that gave a flat-rate estimate and stuck to it. Crew was respectful, fast, and didn’t ding a single wall. Hiring them again next year.”

Common questions

Residential FAQs, straight answers.

How much does a residential move cost?
Most local residential moves range from $400 (small studio with two movers) to $2,800+ (large house with three movers and packing). Long-distance moves are quoted by weight or by flat rate. We always provide a free written estimate before you book — no obligation.
How far in advance should I book?
For local Front Range moves, 1-3 weeks of notice is usually enough. Peak season (May-September) and the first/last weekend of the month book up faster — book 4-6 weeks ahead during those windows.
Do you pack our stuff for us?
Yes — we offer full packing, partial packing, or ‘fragile-only’ packing. We bring all the boxes, paper, tape, and labels. You can also pack yourself; we’ll just load and move what you’ve packed.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — USDOT 2333816, MC 5589, PUC 000385. We carry full cargo liability and workers’ comp. Your home, our trucks, and our crew are all covered.
What if something breaks?
It almost never happens — but if it does, we have a clear claims process. Most moves we complete with zero damage; in 12+ years, we’ve built a reputation on careful handling.
